About
What a Councillor Does
A councillor is the elected representative closest to the community. The role is to represent the ward in the council, raise residents' concerns in the right forum, follow up on service delivery, and report back to the community on what is being done.
The Leader of the House
In a Local Council Development Area, the Leader of the House leads the legislative arm of the council and coordinates the work of the house — presenting and overseeing motions, guiding debate on community needs, and keeping the council's decisions accountable to residents. This platform covers the Ojodu LCDA constituency in Lagos State.
How the Office Works
Every issue follows the same route so nothing is lost.
1. Residents raise it
By message, at a ward meeting, or through a community association.
2. It is recorded
Location, ward and details are logged so it can be tracked.
3. It is taken up
Raised with the relevant council department or in the house.
4. The community is told
Updates are shared back on this site and at ward meetings.
